Brad Hansmann has spent his entire career as a trial lawyer and has tried to conclusion over 75 jury trials, many of which involve high levels of exposure to his clients in the millions of dollars. He represents individuals and corporations, as well as insurance carriers, in large exposure lawsuits throughout Missouri and Illinois in the areas of premises liability, motor carrier accidents, products liability, contract disputes and cases involving injuries and death resulting from the criminal acts of third parties on a business owners’ property. In Brad’s representation of the trucking industry, Brad has experts that can respond to accident scenes immediately following the first call, to conduct scene investigation and reconstruction, as well as interview witnesses, work with the local authorities and conduct mechanical inspections and gather evidence.
Brad also spends a considerable amount of his trial work representing corporations, including a multitude of boat manufacturers, in product liability and other maritime related accident cases throughout the United States in both Federal and State courts. Brad has handled State and Federal cases in Missouri, Kansas, Illinois, Florida, Texas, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Wisconsin, Utah, Arizona, Montana, North Dakota, New Jersey, Alabama and Maryland. Brad’s maritime, marine and products liability representation includes representing clients from the early pre-suit investigations through trial. His ability to gather the needed experts and investigators allows for the early evaluation and analysis of any potential liability or lack thereof.
Brad has been recognized for his trial work by being awarded the Largest Reported Defense verdicts by Missouri Lawyers’ Media, and some which have been recognized in national media outlets. He is regularly recognized as a Missouri & Kansas Super Lawyer, is annually recognized by Best Lawyers, was selected Lawyer of the Year in the St. Louis area by Best Lawyers in 2020 and it has been announced that he will again receive this award in 2023 and is recognized by Benchmark Litigation and other organizations. Missouri Lawyers Media included Brad in the 2022 Power List Business Defense Attorneys and the Missouri Bar Foundation awarded Brad the Lon Hocker Award for eastern Missouri, which is awarded for outstanding trial advocacy.
