Curtis J. Wichmer

Overview

Curt Wichmer is an associate attorney focusing his practice on advising and defending litigation on behalf of insurance carriers in first-party coverage litigation. This includes insurance coverage litigation, Arson-Fraud litigation and bad faith litigation in the First Party context. His practice includes representing insurance carriers in pre-litigation consultation and the taking of examinations under oath and evaluating issues related to complex damage claims and coverage interpretation.

Before joining the firm, Curt worked at the Missouri State Capitol as the Catholic Church’s registered lobbyist, negotiating with state legislators about potential legislative proposals and bills being passed that may affect his client and advocating for bills that address their interest. This prior experience lends him a unique insight into the legislative process and advocating positions for his clients.

While enrolled at St. Louis University School of Law, Curt worked with Catholic Legal Assistance Ministry lawyers to provide pro bono legal assistance to dozens of clients facing administrative hearings. As a part of his work with the Immigration Justice Campaign, Curt was presented with the project’s Volunteer of the Quarter award in 2022.

Outside of work, Curt can be found reading Dostoevsky, watching the NHL, or planning his upcoming wedding.
