Katharine E. Bauer

Overview

Kate is an associate trial lawyer who focuses her practice on representing insurance carriers in both the claims stage and litigation involving insurance coverage disputes. She enjoys representing clients in the analysis of complex coverage issues and defending the carriers in lawsuits that may arise out of coverage disputes throughout the states of Illinois and Missouri. Kate’s areas of practice involve first party property insurance disputes, commercial general liability coverage, excess and umbrella coverages and uninsured/underinsured motorist coverage.

Prior to joining the firm, Kate graduated from Southern Illinois University School of Law. She honed her advocacy skills through participation in Moot Court and was inducted into the Order of Barristers. She was also active in the SIU Civil Practice Clinic, Student Bar Association, and President of SIU’s Women’s Law Forum.

Outside of the office, she enjoys hiking, spending time with friends, and cheering on the Blues and Cardinals.
