Automobile Dealership & Manufacturer Litigation
Overview
The trial lawyers in the automobile and manufacturer defense group are retained routinely by car dealerships and automobile manufacturers involving lawsuits related to the sale of new and used vehicles. The trial lawyers in this group are regularly retained to represent dealers and manufacturers in lawsuits involving statutory claims, such as those made pursuant to the Missouri Merchandising Practices Act as well as in defense of fraudulent and negligent misrepresentation claims and warranty claims. These cases often involve complex transactions, including the repurchase of the vehicle, title processing, warranty issues and financing agreements.
In addition to state statutory and common law lawsuits, the trial lawyers in this group have experience defending clients in federal litigation, including allegations made pursuant to the Magnuson Moss Warranty act arising out of the sale of vehicles. Pursuant to arbitration agreements reached as part of the initial sale, these matters are often referred to arbitration panels and our lawyers in this group routinely successfully defend their clients in these arbitration proceedings.
The experienced trial lawyers of this group continue to successfully defend their automobile clients in lawsuits in the court room in both State and Federal Court and in arbitrations throughout the State of Missouri.
