Florida Federal Court finds in favor of Recreational Boat Manufacturer in Multi-Million Dollar Case

In 2022, Bradley Hansmann and Daniel Hunkins successfully defended a recreational boat manufacturer in a product liability marine accident in Federal Court in the State of Florida where it was alleged a design defect on an engine hatch caused the hatch to crash down on a technician’s face resulting in significant injuries.  Plaintiff sustained significant crush injuries to his face and orthopedic injuries to his shoulder and back.  The demand was over $2,000,000.  After extensive testimony and  Daubert briefing, the Court struck Plaintiff’s liability expert’s opinions, and then entered summary judgment on the boat manufacturer’s behalf.
