Texas Court finds in favor of Recreational Boat Manufacturer in Case where demand was in excess of $29,000,000

In 2022, Bradley Hansmann and senior associate, Daniel Hunkins, successfully defended a recreational boat manufacturer in a product liability marine accident in the State of Texas where it was alleged visibility obstructions caused a boat versus bridge pylon accident.  The plaintiffs sustained catastrophic injuries that included serious brain damage and total disability.   After extensive discovery and briefing, the Trial Court entered summary judgment in favor of the manufacturer, finding that any alleged defective conditions were neither the proximate cause nor the cause in fact of the damage as a matter of law.  The Judgment was affirmed on appeal.
